In New York, usually when development comes to a neighborhood, it involves tearing down a whole row of smaller structures and replacing them with a giant structure, usually with a uniform facade. The result of which is to take a charming, or at least character infused street and replace it with a very bland and unwelcoming uniformity.
I’ve always wondered what it would look like if a batch of new buildings built purposefully in differing styles would look like. Apparently it would look like this scene in Jersey.
It’s mildly disturbing in it’s own way, apparently.
